WordPress is a Free OpenSource Software that you can download from WordPress.org.
Most people will tell you that WordPress is for Blogging, wich is true, but not the only way you can use it.
For me, WordPress it the best blogging tool you can get for free but you can also use it to build lightning fast websites…
WordPress functionality can be greatly extended by using Plugins, little programs that can help you with specific functions like special comments forms or improvements for you search engine ranking.
For some of these plugins I will show you why you need them and how to use them.
Theming WordPress means you can very easily get a different look and feel for your Blog or webiste, there are lots of free WordPress themes avaiable and af course there are themes you can buy.
I will show you what to look for in a theme and how you can tweak it to get a better perfomance or how to get that functions you wanted into the code so it really works.
As for the main part of this site I will focus on showing you how to use WordPress to write posts (time dated articles) and pages and take you through some setting to really get the most out of your installation.
If you are completely new to this blogging thing, you could start out with a free account at www.wordpress.com and try the backend of this software for free.

For me, screenshots like I am using here work better because you can replicate the steps on your own pace. But I must addmit the video’s do go a lot deeper into the matter than I will do here.
